Green Space Public Meeting #4 (November 19, 2005):

At this meeting, the final results of the Clear Lake City Water Authority's (CLCWA's) hydrology study were presented. The study determined that an opportunity existed to essentially "retrofit" the Horsepen Bayou watershed with detention pond structures that could greatly mitigate the effects of major rainfall events. These structures would be located on undeveloped land just south and southeast of Ellington Field, and on the land that currently comprises the Clear Lake Golf Club. The CLCWA has begun the process of acquiring both parcels of land.

It was determined after the meeting that some of the information in the presentations should be revised for clarity before posting to the website. The presentations will be posted when this is complete.
